Sarah brought along Ryan (almost 1 year old) and Imogen (an energetic 3 years old) for their photo shoot. Right off the bat Imogen was dancing around, playing with buttons, and generally having a great time in the studio playing around and posing for the camera. Is was not a difficult task to get this young lasy to pose and we got lots of great shots with her happy little face.

Ryan was also a great natured little boy whom played around and even posed with his characteristic frown and giggle crawling around on the floor of the studio with occasional posing, right up until he discovered how tasty his shoe was … ha ha

Posing was not a problem with any of these kids, and it was such a pleasure to photograph the family portraits for Sarah, and I look forward to seeing them in the studio again another time soon.

One thing about baby Ryan at 14 weeks of age was how content and happy he was. Bright eyed and a great little character with his froggie outfit too

A little test during the photoshoot brought out the most tremendous giggle and laughter fit that both his parents and I were laughing along with too, and we still have no idea why he found it so funny, but it was a great way to end the photo session which was fun, energetic, and full of love for Baby Ryan.

At the beautiful and old Lundin Links Hotel in Fife, the wedding was set to be a low key yet private and intimate affair with very close friends and family attending to share the special day with Colin and Marina.

Having made Marina feel at ease with an engagement shoot to get a feel for what it was gong to be like the actual wedding shots were planned well in advance and Colin & Marina were well ready and eager for the official wedding photographs to take place at the idilic Silverburn Park, in Leven.

The whole running of the day was special. From the run up to the wedding, to the friendly and efficient staff at Lundin Links Hotel, and the ever present wedding co-ordinator Kerry, it was a brilliant day, and a fantastic calming relaxed, enjoyable wedding, and again an honour to have been a part of it with my friends.

Taking place at Orocco Pier in South Queensferry on 30th March 2012, I had the pleasure of covering the wedding for good friends Michelle & Julian. Starting off in the morning with the preps in Orocco Pier itself and also at the lodge where the guys were staying, it is easy to say that the guys were doing more preening than the girls

Michelle and Julian were wonderful people to work with and nothing was any trouble. WIth fun and laughter throughout the day and the wonderful setting with the forth bridge in the background, glorious bright sunshine and warm weather, which is surprising for Scotland in March, we had the most perfect opportunities for photographs with wonderful backdrops.

With such a beautiful setting and accommodating Bride & Groom, it was almost impossible to get tired taking photographs and making the most of everything that was at our disposal.

I would like to thank Michelle & Julian for entrusting me with their wedding day, and that I wish them all the success for the future with the family. Also the guys from Team Top Gun for the wonderful speeches.

Full of fun and giggles but only when Mr Wiggle Finger was pointed at Kim, did the hilarity reign.

We had good fun in the studio with this pair. I am lucky to have such fun and happy people living close by and even more happy that they asked me to take some photographs of them to celebrate the 4 years they have been together.

Both ex students from the same college I went to way back in the day when I was studying photography, it was such a pleasure to see the new breed of photographers choose myself to take some of the memories for them for the future.

Karen and Ian are such an easy going and fun couple that it was very difficult not to have a great day covering their wedding for them. With Karen’s attention to detail and organisation, nothing could go wrong and everything was well sorted in advance as Karen was meticulous

With this in mind, we arrived at the venue with all the planning in place and even the weather was holding out for us as it was threatening to open up the heavens and dump a load of rain on us. With a very moving and gentle ceremony and a rather nervous groom calming himself via hip flask, the ceremony was very moving and you could see the deep feeling and emotion in Karen and Iain.

The local park proved a short car drive of a few hundred meters for some local personal shots for Karen and Iain, while Sarah my second shooter was left with the kids back at the venue

Taking us into the evening, where the celebrations continued well into the night with the first dance setting everyone off, and making a beautiful ending to a beautiful day.

When we got into the studio, all was going well and we were having a giggle at the parents who didn’t expect to have photographs taken With a little resistance we got them to sit for a few photos with the kids. Our objective was to get the two kids “together” and with the baby being a few months old, and the little girl taking a change of heart for having her photographs taken, it was not going to be an easy task.

However, after a little perseverance and bribery, we got a few photos of them together then played around with the moods and funny faces to get some more shots in the bag that the parent will love and cherish for years to come and remember the date in the studio until the next time

Julian and Michelle are wonderful family friends, whom I have the honour of photographing their wedding on 30th March this year. Therefore we decided to go for a walk around and bounce some ideas off each other. Julian and Michelle however, didn’t expect to be having their photographs taken today so the surprise was greeted with much enthusiasm … ha ha

Little Eva having fell asleep in the car on the way over the bridge was surprisingly calm after we had to wake her up again though to go for a walk on the beach and harbour area at Orocco Pier.

With a little walk and some fun on the beach throwing the stones, we had a good look around and Eva had fun in the sand.

With the rain starting to fall we all headed back to the car for the journey home, with happy smiles and wet hair from the rain

Cant wait to shoot the wedding for real guys, thank you

The evening arrived and to my surprise we had a very busy studio. Four adults and 5 kids all in the studio for a large family portrait. However, the kids were all brilliant and very funny at the same time, fooling around, pulling faces and generally having fun in the studio. All the time they were having fun, I was snapping away and capturing those moments with the kids doing what they do best, and that is having fun and fooling around

Towards the end of the shoot, we got the parents involved in the shoot too, and even the adults began to regress to their childhoods and the funny faces were pulled as a group to finish off the evening.

I would like to thanks The Bridgeford Family for visiting us at the studio and having fun messing around and capturing those moments in the studio.

With help from my good friend William Clarke, we decided to try Loch Leven and a couple of the underpasses in the local town.

With finding an underpass without any lights on inside them, we got to try something that was similar to the style done in the caves, and i think that it worked out quite well. With William at the spinning side of things, and creating my favourite shot of the night, we nailed the shot.

In my opinion, it looks like something from the end of the movie “The Matrix” … I think it is Revolutions.

Hope you enjoy the show, its always good fun creating these and with practice I am determined to get that PERFECT circle orb !!!
